Chocolate Dessert Cups
Ingredients List
- 6 ounces - semisweet chocolate
- 1 tablespoon - shortening
- 6 - medium aluminum foil baking cups
- Sweetened whipped cream (recipe follows)
- Assorted fresh fruit
Instructions
In small saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate and shortening, stirring constantly until smooth. Using pastry brush or small paintbrush, spread chocolate thinly and evenly over inside of each baking cup. Set cups in muffin pan and chill about 15 minutes or until firm.
After chocolate has hardened, re-apply another coat of chocolate then refrigerate until firm.
Before serving, peel foil from chocolate cups. Fill with sweetened whipped cream and fresh fruit.
Makes 6 servings.
Sweetened Whipped Cream: Combine 1 cup heavy cream, 2 tablespoons Domino® Granulated Sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla in a chilled medium mixing bowl. Beat on medium-high speed until soft peaks form. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
